Data processing in the app
Autoplay for HEOS is designed to work local-first. The app does not require an Autoplay user account and does not transmit your HEOS configuration to a proprietary cloud backend.
Local network
To discover and control compatible devices, the app processes technical device data on your local network. This may include device names, model information, local IP addresses, player status, groups and playback information.
Data stored on your device
Scenes, schedules, volume settings, app preferences and technical diagnostic information are stored locally on your Android device. You can remove this data by clearing the app data or uninstalling the app.
No advertising or profiling
Autoplay does not use advertising SDKs, sell personal data or create user profiles for advertising purposes.
Spotify features
When you enable Spotify features, you are redirected to Spotify for authorisation. The app processes the authorisation and account data required for playback, playlists and Spotify Connect. This communication takes place between the app and Spotify services. Spotify's own privacy terms also apply.
Autoplay stores the required authorisation information locally on your device. You can revoke access in your Spotify account and remove the local connection in the app.
Data processing on this website
When you visit this website, the hosting provider processes technically necessary connection data. This may include your IP address, time of access, requested page, browser information and server status. This processing is necessary to provide the website securely and reliably.
Version 1 of this website does not use analytics, marketing or tracking cookies. If you contact us by email, we process your message and contact details solely to respond to your request.
Retention and security
Support messages are retained only for as long as necessary to handle your request and meet legal obligations. Local app data generally remains on your device. We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect the personal data we process.
Your rights
Subject to applicable data protection law, you may request access to, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal data processed by us, and you may object to its processing. To exercise these rights, contact support@autoplayforheos.app.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent data protection authority. In Switzerland, this is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
Changes to this policy
We will update this Privacy Policy whenever our features or data processing practices change. The current version will always be available at this address.
